Ross & Maguire Team Up for ‘Crusaders’

Gary Ross (Pleasantville, Seabiscuit) and Tobey Maguire will be teaming up again for Universal’s ‘The Crusaders,’ a drama about the Brown v. Board of Education case.

Maguire is set to play Jack Greenberg, a newly graduated lawyer who joins with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund head Thurgood Marshall to win the landmark Supreme Court case that ruled segregation in schools illegal.

The script was written by Emmy-nominated writer Danny Strong, formerly Ross’ assistant. He wrote the HBO film ‘Recount.’
