‘Fraggle Rock’ to go to the Big Screen

The Weinstein Company will be bringing the Jim Henson Companies live-action muppet series ‘Fraggle Rock’ to theaters as a musical feature.
Set to be written and directed by Cory Edwards (Hoodwinked!), the film will mix human characters with the Fraggle Rock puppets, much like the original series.

It’s no shocker, as The Weinstein Company had previously announced their desire for more family friendly fare. Though it might be more the cost to take a family to the theater then what’s in release, it’s nice to see them trying.

Though, I will admit, I’m far more excited for Jason Segel’s new Muppet movie then this.
