Initially I thought she was battling some personal demons when she first appeared, but then she went to the short hair and looked normal again. Could her wig have been that bad? Even if it was, it was still only the second worst Wiig in the series. (Actually just did that for the joke. I am a Kristen Wiig fan.)

All of those first episodes, with the possible exception of the George Sr. one, are so much better the second time around. Especially the Lindsay episode which is borderline laborious when you first see it. Also, what the hell happened to Portia de Rossi? She is borderline unrecognizable.

Great review. The first few episodes seemed a bit choppy and a lot of table setting, which makes sense due to the time off. Season 4 really is anustart. I watched episodes 5 and 6 and felt like the season was really starting to build on itself and gain momentum. Looking forward to the rest.
