Video of the Week: “Meditations: Supper”

This weeks video of the week is by director Jonathan Ade. “Meditations: Supper.” The short film is quiet, slow, and building, and features some wonderful and very reflective moments. You can check out the video below.

Ade has created a series of these films, other titles include Man In Water, and ItsOkayItsOkay. Currently, Ade is raising money on Kickstarter for a new film called Lay in Wait. They are in the final push for funding, so head on over and check out their Kickstarter!

Video of the Week: Pacific Rim Cockpit Featurette

Video of the Week: Pacific Rim Cockpit Featurette

The world of Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming PACIFIC RIM is fascinating. A frightening future where Giant Monsters come out of the center of the earth, and Earth’s only hope are these giant human controller robots to fight them. Everything I’ve seen definitely has me interested in this film.

Film Review: Fast & Furious 6

Film Review: Fast & Furious 6

Back in the ’70s, producers like Roger Corman would turn out a movie like any in the “The Fast & the Furious” franchise within a week. Film Review: Star Trek Into Darkness

Film Review: Star Trek Into Darkness

In the past few years, the feeling of excitement and wonderment I’d once gotten out of big-budget summer tentpoles has been missing; I assumed I’d outgrown it. But with the latest entry in the “Star Trek” franchise, J.J. Abrams has brought that anticipation back to the summer movie line-up. With “Star Trek: Into Darkness,” Abrams shows us that not only can he build a masterfully crafted sci-fi action adventure, he can make a damn good movie around it.

TV Review: The Office Series Finale

TV Review: The Office Series Finale

“The Office,” has been the flagship Thursday night comedy staple for NBC since 2005. An adaptation of the heralded British Show from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the Greg Daniels led “American” office started as a mirror of its counterpart. It wasn’t until the show started to deviate from the source material that it really found its legs. The incredible chemistry of its talented cast paved way for successful careers for all of its stars, especially for Steve Carrell, who starred as Michael Scott, the awkward leader of the office.
