Ed McMahonEd McMahon, perhaps best known for his introduction of Johnny Carson, opened the Tonight Show for 30 years, has died at the age of 86.

McMahon made a career of appearances on television and radio, he was a self-proclaimed “second-banana,” playing the straight man to Carson. Through the years, McMahon hosted various television talent shows, pitched sweepstakes, and hosted telethons.

He is a personality that touched many generations, and his presence will definitely be missed.
