I totally agree with Bourne. More so, I agree that Liman had no clear idea of what to do with the series. And to take it further, Liman has no idea what to do with any movie he's involved with. Mr. and Mrs. Smith seemed like it was just shy of something really good. Jumper looks like it'll blow all sorts of balls. The Bourne Identity was good, but when Greengrass took the reins it found its voice.

bill and ted totally rock, I really like those movies.

I think my favorite part of Pirates 3 was Jack Sparrows entrance over the sand dune in the ship, that alone is enough for me to watch it again.

You know another one I love? The Bourne Supremacy, Paul Greengrass had a much better understanding of what the series should be like the Doug Liman.

I wasn't as thrilled with Superman II. You could tell they fired Donner and got someone else, piece mealing it together. I was totally going to write about Wayne's World 2. That movie is great. I love the roadie and his stories.

And, yes, Bogus Journey. Rent it, buy it, steal it. However you get your hands on things, watch it again. It's alarmingly good. Check yourself.

I would argue that you forgot to add 'Superman II,' which, even without original director Richard Donner on board was excellent. Let us also not forget 'Wayne's World 2,' 'French Connection II,' (not as good as the original, but still criminally underrated,) and 'Drunken Master II.' (The one movie that still makes me forgive Jackie Chan for 'Rush Hour 2.')

Also, Bill and Ted? Seriously? Really?

Oh boy was X-Men 3 a disappointment. They should tear up Ratner's DGA super-friends ring or whatever it is they get in that union. Spider-man 3 was disappointing, but you could totally tell that Avi Arad screwed the pooch on that one. He pushed for Venom when Raimi didn't want Venom. And with that, we have a 3 hour movie of 1 minutes narrative bursts. So annoying.

Pirates 3 could have been out of control, but it wasn't. Day of the Dead was ok, definitely third of the three (I kind of refuse to believe Land of the Dead counts as part of the series, even though it does and I should count it). And Army of Darkness? There are no words to describe how much I love that movie.

It's funny, there are two movies on your list that I feel like the third in the series were terrible. Spider-Man 3 in comparison to the 2nd was so terribly disappointing (emo dancing Peter Parker?), and X-Men 3 was atrocious! I wish Singer had not done Superman Returns, and just focused on the Phoenix story in X-Men. Ratner took an epic tail from the comic books, mixed it with suckage, and released it as X-Men 3. Granted, I was exhausted and saw a midnight showing of both of Spider-Man 3 and X-Men 3, but boy, was I disappointed.

This is why I don't see midnight showings anymore, I never end up liking the movie.
